Hiba is one of the most revered trees in Japan.
It takes up to 300 years to grow and produces durable, rot-resistant wood.
 
Research has revealed that hinokitiol (different from cypress), which is found only in cypress trees grown in Aomori Prefecture, has antibacterial, sterilizing, insect repellent, and deodorizing effects.
 
Hiba essential oil is extracted from the wood chips of mature trees using a steam distillation method, without damaging the trees in any way.
Please avoid use during pregnancy.
